OUR OUTDOORS NEEDS SOMETHING MORE
“Something more? Like what?” asks Shane.
“Well, I was thinking we could put in a pergola. They look amazing, let in the breeze, and you don’t get direct light. Makes it easy to see without having any glaring light,” says Emma.
Shane squints as he thinks. “I mean, that sounds like a decent enough idea. You were right about the landscaping ideas. The thing is, I’m not really sure what a pergola is.” Emma’s eyebrows rise in surprise. “We’ve sat under enough of them at parks and restaurants. You mean to tell me you didn’t know what they were?”
Shane shakes his head no. “Let’s fix that ASAP! Here, I’ll look up some pergola pictures and ideas. Then you can tell me what you think,” says Emma.
She gets out her phone and starts searching on Google. “Here we go, a contractor’s blog with pictures of pergola projects they’ve done,” she exclaims.
Here is what the couple sees:
PERGOLA PICTURES AND IDEAS FROM PROJECTS AROUND MARYLAND
You can use a pergola to spice up the look of your backyard and make it easier to relax in. Plant climbing vines and plants to grow up and around it. Use lights to create a wonderland at night. You can even use canvas to make it look great and maybe even rainproof it.
Pergolas also provide some shade while still letting light through. You can enjoy the sun without it blinding you.
